eating. eating is important, right?.. why?.. because when our stomach is empty, it wants to be filled with food. but, often we forgot about an organ in our body that also needs food. our Brain. what do we feed our Brain is for you to think, but how do we feed it, is what i want to share. its easy!. by reading. a lot of you i'm sure read everyday, through the Internet, the cereal box you eat your breakfast from, road signs while driving, etc. but the reading i meant here is Real reading.( you know, reading with real intentions) Important to realise, what kind of books we should read. i recommend non-fiction books. this is because sometimes when we read too many fiction books, we imagine a lot of things. (especially Novels; romantic novels, teenage novels, etc.) sometimes there are things that doesn't make any sense from what we read from novels can mess with our mind and make us sometimes find it hard to differentiate which is reality and fantasy. So, a good book is a non-fiction book. any book will do. a book that is good for self-enrichment and provokes our thinking. BUT HEY, don't get me wrong. i'm Not telling you to read reallyyyyyy serious books. at times you can engage to light readings, like comics or entertainment magazines. but that readings are for Light readings. to have your Brain to be "well-fed" you need to "feed" your Brain with good stuff, like how you feed your stomach with nutritious meals! :) <3

its quite frequent i see a lot pet shops sell pets like dogs and cats... please people, if you want to have a dog or cat as pet, please go to your nearest home shelter for animals and choose any pet you like... but please don't go to a pet shop and buy a pet...

so, what's the difference, right you asking?... adopting a pet is different from buying a pet... when you adopt a pet, you are saving the animal by giving it a home, shelter and food.. you also help to reduce the number of animals in the shelter homes which most of them are over-crowded with unwanted pets... unwanted pets exist when someone who just can't rare a pet anymore, gave it to a home shelter...

but, when you buy a pet, you are increasing the profit of the pet shop owners because they are doing a bussiness... when there is a demand from people who would like buying pets from pet shops, the breeding of the pets like cats and dogs will increase.. these pet shop owners wants to get money for profit by selling animals.. at the same time, there a lot of animals at shelter homes that need new owners to get proper shelter and food...

and don't forget, there are not only dogs and cats, other animals like rabbits and birds also hve to suffer from this sick phenomenon of selling and buying pets without thinking of the consequences...

so please, the next time you want any animal as a pet, whether it is a dog, cat, rabbit or any other animal, think several times first before deciding...

together, we can stop animal cruelty and boycott all pet shops!

p.s: i suggest animal shelters like SPCA, PAWS and also some animal clinics if you are looking for a pet.

Today, i got a new phone, people!! Samsung Galaxy y... :) i know its not a really fancy phone, but i'm still grateful!.. my mom bought for me.. thought of buying the phone with my own money since i got my first pay cheque last month.. but my mom bought it for me!.. Love my mom. =)

Surat Cinta

surat cinta?... ada sesiapa yg pernah terima surat cinta... semasa zaman sekolah ke?.. bila2 saja lah... atau ada kenal sesiapa yg pernah terima surat cinta..

saya?... takda, bukan apa.. lama tak main ketuk2 laptop ni..

apa yg saya ingat bila cakap pasal surat cinta, adalah masa zaman sekolah..

masa sekolah dulu, bila pertama kali masuk Tingkatan Satu.. ada seorg cikgu cakap pada pelajar2 yg sebaya dgn saya pada ketika itu ialah : "NO LOVE LETTERS!"

(sampai sekarang sy ingat benda2 yg berkaitan dgn zaman sekolah dulu...) 

cikgu tu memang tegaskan pada anak2 muridnya supaya pelajar2 perempuan jgn ada apa2 "love letters"... dia kata dia pernah jumpa ada pelajar yg dapat "love letter" ni...

pada pendapat sy, salah ke kalau dapat surat cinta ni?... kalau surat tu tidak ada unsur2 lucah dan hanya semata-mata utk meluahkan perasaan seorg remaja belasan tahun, apa salahnya?.. saya rasa ini lebih baik drpd memendam rasa... lagi tak elok, kan?... lagipun, surat cinta terutamannya di zaman sekolah akan jadi memori lampau yg kita akan terkenang semula bila dah dewasa nanti.... jadi, jgnlah halang org nak tulis surat cinta...

cuma, jgn biarkan diri terlalu taksub dgn surat cinta, ok.... surat cinta ni bagus.. tapi jgn ambil surat cinta perkara yg terlalu serius... kalau dapat surat cinta tu, tak balas pun takpa... kalau nak balas, fikir dua kali sebelum mulakan penulisan... akhir sekali, kalau terima surat cinta tu, simpan. biar berhabuk dalam laci. bila dah dewasa esok, senyum dan terkenang... :)

i just got this opportunity today to update my blog because i was busy working and i wanted to spend my holidays as fully as possible!

As every festival, there is always food involved, right? so for those who don't know, there is a special dish Indian people will cook every time this festival arrives that is the 'sweet rice". If i'm not mistaken, the sweet rice is basically made of, of course some rice, milk and sugar. Some like to add raisins and cashew nuts for extra flavour. I have actually eaten this "sweet rice" before when i was in form 5. One of closest friends at that time, Heama, bought some of this sweet delicacy to school.. As a food lover, of course i said yes and indulge in this "sweet rice".. the taste was fine.. it is actually quite delicious! Thank you to Heama, my friend for serving me my 1st "sweet rice"!! It was really nice... <3

Pengalaman Berkerja

apa khabar semua?? sihat2 hendaknya..

pada tarikh 2hb januari yg lepas merupakan salah satu tarikh yg penting dan akan diingati oleh sy sepanjang hidup sy.. tarikh tersebut lah sy bermula berkerja.. sebelum ni memang tak pernah bekerja.. lepas habis sekolah.. lepas habis peperiksaan sy mula cari kerja.. dan dapat satu pekerjaan: Juruwang a.k.a CASHIER! 

wow!! 

pengalaman memang sangat baru bagi saya.. tak lupa juga sangat berharga.. yalah, 1st time kerjalah katakan.. full time terus pulak tu... hehe :).. full time lah bagus, kan?? daripada duduk rumah je, online berjam-jam dan buang masa, lebih baik kerja full time dan akhir bulan dapatlah ganjarannya..

nak dijadikan cerita, mula2 traning lah dulu, nak traning pun sampai seminggu.. pengalamannya memang sangat menarik sebab saya tak pernah alami pengalaman bekerja..

1st time di kaunter, jumpa seorang bernama Linda (nama singkatan)... baik orangnya.. dialah guru pertama yg memberi tunjuk ajar macam mana nak handle kaunter!.. hihi. Thanks a lot, Linda!! :D lepas tu jumpa geng2 si Linda, diorang memang happy-go-lucky lah..

hari kedua: jumpa Inita, seorang Sarawakian.. baik lah of course.. Inita juga seorang Cashier.. dia lah ajar sy macam mana nak buat sanggul utk rambut.. =)

sbb kerja sbg Cashier kena kemas.. rambut sy yg panjang macam rambut Rapunzel ni kenalah digulungkan menjadi sanggul.. serius, memang tak tahu macam mana nak sanggul rambut.. haha... cuba punya cuba.. tak jadi.. tapi lepas Inita ajar, dah pandai dah!...

hari ketiga: tolong kakak2 dan abang2 Cashier yg lain utk masukkan barang customer dlm plastik macam biasa.. lepas dua orang Cashier sy tolong utk pack barang habis shif, muncul seorang abang Cashier ni ganti tempat mereka.. oklah.. cuma rasa pelik.. nak tahu kenapa? seorang Pak Guard ni cakap kat abang Cashier ni : "Oh, (nama abang Cashier)  ada kawannnnn, (nama abang Cashier) dah ada kawannnnnnnnnnnnn......"

sy just senyum je, tapi si Cashier sorang ni macam nak cover2 pulak.. haha... rasa pelik sangat3 masa tu... haha.. takpelah, kitaorang just kerja je,kan? masing2 ada tugas yg sudah dipertanggungjawabkan.. so, jalankan tugaslah! :)

hari ni: masuk hari keempat, macam biasa je.. tapi pengalaman lebih lain dan lebih baharu daripada hari2 yg sebelumnya.. sbb sy kena tukar ke Non-Halal section.. oklah juga.. pengalamannya berbeza sedikit... customer kurang.. jadi, bosanlah memanjang.. sampai seorang abang ni, Rao (nama singkatan) suruh sy cari wine Santa Carolina utk sesuatu jenis.. dia kata kalau sy dapat cari wine tu dia nak belanja KFC ohhh... dia kata wine tu jenis Red Wine.. so, carilah section Red Wine je.. cari punya cari, tak dapat kowt... last2 abang tu kata : " kat sinilah..., haha..,, saja nak kacau awak.. tengok awak ni duduk je dgn kebosanan.. jadi, sy bagi kerja kat awaklah.. haha"... haiiii... haha.. apalah abang ni,kan?? tapi, takpelah.. memang sy dah bosan tunggu customer datang.. elok juga buat exercise sikt... hihihi...

itulah Pengalaman Bekerja sy... mula2 oklah... tapi memang3 penat.. tapi sbb sy dapat timba pengalaman yg berharga ni... penat2 tu boleh ketepikan sekejap... lepas kerja, terus mandi, makan, rehat, tidur... haha... bagus tak??.... :D

2012 is coming. (edited version!)

Its New Year's Eve Year! people.

First and foremost, i would want to apologize to anyone who i may have hurt whether intentionally or un-intentionally, whether friends, classmates, schoolmates, family members, relatives, virtual friends, people who knows me and every one who loves me the way i am.

Tomorrow will be t  The New Year of 2012 has arrived!, lets open a new chapter of our lives but with the same mission to success, together with new and greater will power to achieve better achievement and to get new and greater opportunities in life. May the year 2012 be a better year to us all..

But, don't get too carried away with celebration. Yes, of course we can celebrate but we must remind ourselves that the most important part about a new year is not just about the celebration, but its about time to reflect ourselves and look ourselves in the mirror.. what must i do improve myself? what are the aspects that i have to change in life? maybe, less Facebook-ing and more work, perhaps?

i know all of you are wise and grown-up enough to think what's best for you. Just remember one think, don't over-think things,ok? Just take your life journey one step at time, like fast and steady. (for me, not slow and steady because we can't afford to be to slow at this moment, don't you agree?) Seize any opportunity and use it well. REMEMBER : Luck does not come rolling to you. A lot of wise people had say that 

LUCK = OPPORTUNITY + EFFORT.

nowadays after my exam, i try to fill my time with beneficial activities like, finding a job, etc. etc. and also last but not the least brushing up my Mandarin.

yes, although i am Chinese, i don't really master mandarin as well as other chinese people would be.. so, now since i'm quite at my leisure i decided to take this Golden opportunity to really learn Mandarin one step at a time. i know this is going to be quite a challenge for me but i will do my best!!

so here is some Mandarin words and phrases that are essential to take into account when learning Mandarin:

#1 Shi (Shur-k) = Yes

#2 Bu Shi (Boo Shur-k) = No

#3 Hao (How) = OK

#4 Qing (Cheeng) = Please 

#5 Xiexie Ni (Sh-ee-ek Sh-ee-e Nee) = Thank You

#6 Bu Xie (Boo Sh-ee-ek) = You're Welcome

#7 Duibuqi (D-oo-aii Boo Chee) = I'm Sorry

#8 Zao Shang Hao (Dsow Shang How) = Good Morning

#9 XiaWu Hao (Sh-ee-ah-Woo How) = Good Afternoon

#10 Wan Shang Hao (W-ah-n - Shang How) = Good Evening

#11 Wan An (W-aa-n - Ah-n) = Good Night

#12 Zai Jian (Ds-i J-ee-e-n) = Good Bye

BUT need to be reminded, this is not the most ideal Mandarin lesson for you to look forward to. I'm still learning myself. The very important aspect about pronounciation in Mandarin is the different soundof words, because different sound give different meanings.

2011 memory...

only 7 days to go before the year 2011 ends and the year 2012 begins.. honestly, its been a really long year of 2011 for me.. a lot of things has happened and all the experiences really taught me to be more patient and more wise in my actions.. i'm sure all of you have memories that you can't forget this year, so i want to share some of mine...

---> Going out for an unexpected outing.

   yeah, this one really one of the things i can't forget.. to tell you, i'm actually a person who is not really the type who likes to go out alone all by myself. So one day, my darling friend Yen Ling asked me whether i wanted to follow her and other classmates to go to McD. with a little hesitation at first, i said yes. i was thinking, what the hell, its for awhile, furthermore i seldom spend with my friends and also i followed them once. so after school, still wearing my baju kurung i followed my friend, who was in another car, to the destinated place. after half way of the journey, i was quite shocked.. i was like, "eh, where is she bringing me???. i thought the usual McD restaurant nearer to the school one". so followed her until she parked her car and i parked mine. i asked her, "eh, i thought you say want to go McD??". she said, "yalah, Jusco McD.".. aaahhh!.... my dear frienddd.... never tell me which McD want to go... yes, it was still McD, but it was much further from the usual McD we went before..

But, i thought at the end of the day i still did ate McD burger and met all my classmates there. It was actually quite fun and enjoyable. it was a good experience for me and i'm happy that i went to McD, because, hey when is the time i want to go McD, now lah of course. maybe next time we are all busy and seldom see each other.. so this the time i want to go out with classmates =D

Winter Solstice

Good Evening,

today is the Winter Solstice Festival, i got to know this festival when i received an MMS wishing me about this particular festival.

yeah, its pretty obvious i don't know that this festival fall on this date, 22nd December. But hey, better late than never, right??

anyway, what i know about this festival is that the first thing that comes up to my mind is the famous dish that is a "Must-Have" during Winter Solstice, that is the Tong Yuen or Tang Yuan.

(not mistaken the latter is Mandarin). I have actually eaten this dessert before. it is basically small coloured balls that is made from glutinous flour (tepung pulut) , eaten in a bowl of sweet clear syrup. Yum! i usually enjoy this dish at kampung, but these recent years my grandmother seldom makes it, don't know why, maybe nobody asks for it??

some people actually enjoy Tong Yuen that has gula melaka in it. That adds an interesting twist isn't it? some modern version ones has some added sagu or selasih, that look like "telur katak"... hihi. yeah, that is what i think of selasih when i first saw it in my friend's drink when i was 11 or 12 years old. :)

What is Winter Solstice actually? to be honest i have no idea. But after some research on the Net, this festival is also known as Midwinter. The significance is, its astronomically marks the beginning of shortening nights and lengthening days. it is celebrated between Decembar 21 and 22 and also between June 20 and 21. Usually celebrated by spending time with family, friends or simply gathering with loved ones.

p.s: some even add coconut milk in Tong Yuen. but for me i prefer the traditional one. maybe anyone who want to belanja me, i always will say yes to any versions of Tong Yuen! that's for sure!

Pengacau di FB

Selamat sejahtera semua,


seperti yg telah sy post-kan sebelum ini, ada seorang rakan FB yg telah mengganggu ketenteraman sy pd satu hari yg tak disangka2...


lihat sajalah di bawah, sy taip sesuatu pada "wall" rakan FB sy yg baru, dan seseorang yg bernama Ikuto Radzi telah kononnya, "menolong" rakan FB sy baru itu..

kalau lihat betul2, pd mulanya Ikuto Radzi sudah post komen pertama.. kemudian post terakhirnya seolah-olah sy bercakap sendirian.. dah terlalu ketara yg dia mula2 nak mengganggu sy, lepas tu dgn "bijaknya" men"delete" semua komennya yg sebelumnya.. motif???

perasaan tak payah cakap ah.. sangatlah sakit hati dgn org pengacau spt dia.. dia tu sebenarnya bukannya org lain.. "former class-mate" masa ting.5.. dia ingat best main2kan org..  itu pun ada lagi insiden yg melibatkan dia juga.. tapi takpelah..  =="

Opening a Facebook account

hello Everyone!

Apa Khabar?

rasa seronok dpt menaip kembali di blog yg tak seberapa ni...

yeah, you read the title,right?

i just opened a Facebook account..

its quite interesting actually..

because i got to communicate and catch up with the people i knew from 2ndary school.. miss them so much..

some many may wonder why now? why didn't i opened my FB account before this?.

well to be honest i wanted to concentrate on my studies.. i'm a person who is easily distracted with all kinds of stuff on the net... so that's why.. in other words i'm quite free right now ... hihihihihi..

i think that FB is good. it is a good way to stay connected with your mates especially those who you have not seen for a long time..

but at times, people post something that speak something that is bad about other people.. hmm.. that can't be good, don't you think?

but i have to say this, there is one annoying former classmate of mine who is just irritating! he won't me leave me alone on FB.. blurr.. how to deal with this people.. any ideas...

Did you miss me??

Hello everyone!! Its Official! I'm back for good. its been 8 months since i last signed in.

heeeeeeuuuuuuiiiiiiiii...... what a year it has been for me.

actually if you noticed i wrote once that i was going for a war, right?.. yeah, that war had ended today. at about 16oo hrs, 15th December 2011.

let me tell you about the war. it is very toughhhh... i had to make a lot of sacrifices.. yeah, one of it is leaving this sweet, sweet (self-flattering) blog for almost a year..

to make it short, it was hectic.. now, that it is ended i could let a sigh of relief. but, hey! not really a relief.. the results of the war?? how about that?? that, i had to wait for at least three to four months to know... right now, i hope to unwind for awhile.. just for awhile, and then do some little work (whatever beneficial work-lah) while updating my lovely, lovely blog... How about that?!!
